You are a follower of darkness
Thank you for following and looking at my site. This is a new website launched in May 2025 to celebrate reaching 1000 followers of darkness on Instagram.
Introduction
I am darkwards; appropriately pronounced "dark-woods". The definition of darkwards: towards darkness.
I wear black from head to toe, I listen to dark music and I go to the woods and various nature reserves in the dead of night. I go out at night when there is fog, snow, auroras, a night sky event, a clear dark night full of stars, and it's a monthly ritual to go out during full moon.
The magic of nature
The emptiness and isolation of dark nature is hard to find anywhere else. It is detachment from an over-exposed, bright, noisy world. It is the place where I sense the higher powers.
The mission
My personal mission is to explore more new locations of darkness, and to show the world how powerful and misunderstood the nature at night is. I am more than just a gallery of photos, I aim to give a feel for actually being there immersed in nature and darkness. Darkness is a way of life.
